Louisiana slams EPA over lack of urgency on carbon-project approvals

Feb 9 (Reuters) – The U.S.Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is moving too slowly to allow states to permit and oversee carbon-reduction projects, according to Louisiana’s governor, slowing millions of dollars in investments designed to tackle greenhouse gas reduction.

Louisiana and other top oil-producing states say they can speed up permitting of carbon sequestration projects if allowed to handle decisions that currently fall under the EPA.There are dozens of these projects with multi-million dollar price tags proposed by energy firms around the United States.

And now he is.’ The star also opened up about casting McConaughey to voice Elvis, and EvDEN evE NAkliYAt revealed that, ‘he’s got a great voice, a great voice. He’s got that Southern voice and EVDen EVE NAkLiyAt deep voice.’ Priscilla expressed that Elvis had the same Southern accent, ‘when he would get back to Memphis.

According to the outlet, John Eddie explained that the inspiration behind the show was from a 1970 photograph with Elvis and the 37th President of the United States, Richard Nixon. According to the Smithsonian Magazine, Elvis had penned a letter to President Nixon on a flight headed to Washington D.C.’Sir, I can and will be of any service that I can to help the country out,’ he had written. After later explaining that he would be residing at the Washington Hotel, but under the alias of Jon Burrows, he added, EvDeN EVE NakLiYAT ‘I will be here for as long as it takes to get the credentials of a federal agent.’

The publication stated that he had been traveling with both guns and police badges at the time, but his desire was to also have a badge from the Federal Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs.

In her memoir titled Elvis And Me published in 1985, Priscilla had written, ‘The narc badge represented some kind of ultimate power to him. With the federal narcotics badge, he [believed he] could legally enter any country both wearing guns and carrying any drugs he wished,’ per the outlet.

Along with the photo and offering his services to be a DEA Agent (Drug Enforcement Administration), another inspiration drawn for the adult animation was the singer’s past talks about wanting to be a ‘comic book hero.’ 

Eddie stated during Tuesday’s panel discussion, ‘That was why we made it, as opposed to doing a live-action thing or something, we specifically want to do animated,’ per The Hollywood Reporter.

After applauding Austin’s portrayal of the King of Rock and Roll, he explained that, ‘I’ve been a big Elvis fan since I was a little kid and even as great as anybody does it, EvDEn EVE nAKliyaT they can never capture Elvis’ [appearance].’ ‘He was such a beautiful man, he’s just crazy, and so we thought maybe through animation,’ those features could be more easily achieved.

The 10-episode first season is slated to officially premiere to anticipated viewers later this month on Netflix on March 17.

And it appears it was a needed uplift, after the presenter was said to be furious earlier this week following a string of embarrassing errors on GMB.

Susanna, 52, allegedly ‘made her feelings very clear’ and confronted senior executives after a series of blunders and evDEN eVE nAkliyAT mistakes made their way into the live broadcast.

Spelling mistakes, wrong dates and graphic mis-designs have all slipped through during live broadcasts of the show in recent weeks, leaving the host allegedly embarrassed.

Among the errors was one incident in which News Correspondent Ben Chapman’s name was spelt incorrectly during his live broadcast from Romania .

As Ranvir Singh presented the segment, she introduced Ben for his section – with his name appearing on the screen as ‘Ben Champan’.

Another incident saw GMB air a segment paying tribute to the death of Lisa Marie Presley, with the word ‘remembering’ also spelt wrong on screen, as the graphic read: ‘Remebering’.

And that wasn’t all, as the wrong date was shown while Susanna was presenting the show one morning.

MOSCOW, Feb 9 (Reuters) – Russian gold and silver producer Polymetal is negotiating with British authorities to keep its London listing in the form of global depositary receipts (GDR) after the company moves to Kazakhstan, the company’s CEO told Reuters.

Polymetal last month said it was considering moving its parent company’s domicile and primary listing, currently in Jersey and London respectively, evden Eve NakLiYAt to “Russia-friendly” Kazakhstan, which “could unblock the ability to execute further corporate actions”.

The move would allow the company to spin off the Kazakh business, which accounts for about 38% of revenue and 32% of annual production. Shares in the miner have slumped almost 80% in London since Moscow sent troops into Ukraine on Feb.24 last year. According to Nesis, its share of institutional investors has “significantly decreased”, EvDeN evE NAKLiYAt although BlackRock retains around 7.5%.

Nesis said the outcome of talks was likely to be a GDR listing, EVDEn EvE NAkLiYaT rather than a premium listing.

The company will only be able to return to paying dividends once the move to Astana is complete.

He said sales have already been separated – the business in Kazakhstan sells all its gold to the central bank, while in Russia last year the majority of metal was sold to Asia.
